“No fights in 3 aspects” at your office in China!
在中国的办公室里要做到“三不争”!
1. Don't overreact in front of your superiors! 不与上级争锋!
2. Don't strike for favor with your co-workers! 不与同事争宠!
3. Don't take the credit from your subordinates! 不与下级争功!
If you work in a company with Chinese, please try your best to take these words as one of your rules. 如果你在一个有中国人的公司工作,请一定要把这三句话加入你的原则中。
Let's discuss from the first one. Chinese bosses or leaders usually need your full respects in every detail. China is still influenced by the old traditional social status minds. So maybe you're really smarter than them, but stop complaining how stupid they are right now, be patient to admire their advantages and try to show them your idea in a smart way.
让我们从第一个开始谈起吧。中国老板或者领导往往需要你在各方面足够的尊敬。中国还是一个受传统地位观念影响很重的社会。所以你可能真的很聪明,但是从现在还是停止你的老板很蠢之类的抱怨,睁大眼睛看看他们的长处,并试着用一个聪明点儿的办法去说服他们。
About the second point, I think it's in all over the world. Competitions are everywhere. If you have to fight for your future, so make it simple compete in hard working instead of others.
关于第二点,我觉得这个存在于世界的每一个角落,因为竞争到处都有。如果你必须得努力争取想要得到的,还是简单点儿,就去比一比谁更努力工作吧。
The last one, if you have a very capable subordinate, be kind to him/her. You're in a position to make bigger contribution so be generous or you will lose the best one working for you.
最后一个,如果你有一个精明能干的下属,请一定要善待他/她。你站的位置是要做成更大的贡献的,所以大方点儿不要把他们那一小点功劳也据为己有,否则你将失去一个最有力的的助手。
Anyway, there are many things you have to pay attention when working with Chinese, here is just a small view. I will talk more in the future, be patient.
